Paolo developed his interest for illustration and visual arts whilst working in architecture practices in Rome and London and travelling around Europe.
Passionate about good design and architecture and always very keen to learn from Art History, he regularly takes inspiration from 900 Avant-Garde and contemporary street art. He is particularly fascinated by contemporary imaginary and its meaning and the central role images play in the way we communicate within our society.
A project entitled ‘The Cityscape Bites’ gave Paolo the opportunity to represent imaginary and realistic-looking buildings with very few lines and within a restricted colour pallette. “I found the digital versions so intriguing that I produced a limited edition screenprint series which developed furthermore the original idea.”
