Nottingham based graphic artist Jules is self-taught in pretty much everything. Finding the academic route too slow paced, he’s passionate about pushing himself to constantly improve, “if I let things become static for too long my boredom gene kicks in and that’s not a pretty sight.” Jules thrives off fast flowing information and absorbing knowledge, he’s an info-sponge!
Alongside being an extremely talented illustrator, graphic and website designer Jules has also been a bar owner, DJ and has run a promotions company and record label, producing and sound engineering. Currently he’s running a magazine, building on the success of his design/illustration business, and playing obsessively with his kittens, usually all at the same time.
His endeavours have always had a creative foundation although now, thanks to technology they are design focused rather than music and parties, although they still play a part. Jealousy influences him greatly although he hates to admit it. The more jealous he gets the harder he tries, “thanks jealousy”. His favourite piece of work is always his latest. “It’s always the best thing I have ever done, at least until the next piece.”
