Alice is a graphic artist, a collector of curiosity and a bibliophile, who lives and works in Lancashire.
She specialises in collage – mixing traditional printmaking, line illustration and digital collage.
Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with an MA in Design and Art Direction, Alice has worked on a diverse range of projects with art directors, artists, designers, writers, musicians, and filmmakers. She publishes her own work with Bracketpress, as well as continually collaborating and working with regular clients which include Hamish Hamilton, Pan Macmillan, Southern Records, Babel Label, Exitstencil Press, Pictures on Walls and .Cent magazine. She is Art Editor of the Idler magazine, and is currently working on an illustrated book project with a fashion curator.
She cites influence from the Surrealists and Dadaists especially Max Ernst, Art Nouveau, Renaissance artists, the old masters, Hogarth, Cruickshank, political satirists and publishers, contemporary artists, craftworkers and music.
