Bristol based illustrator James graduated with a BA (HONS) in Design and Illustration. He is constantly inspired by things around him, posters, album cover artwork, independent and commercial comics, art/culture/music zines, which translates in to his work. He incorporates different styles and media together to produce visually pleasing results. "I love the relationship between collage, line, colour and texture and in general prefer to work by hand to show a human touch".
His unique style won him the 'Don't Panic' pack design competition which was printed onto envelopes and distributed around the country. His favourite project so far was a commission for 247 magazine, drawing for an editorial based on the theme of festivals, challenging him to use his style in an effective way.
